Data driven procurement as an enable for transformation and sustainability

FEATURED SPEAKER

Cato Gundersen

CPO at Lyse

AGENDA OF THE EVENT

Most of the company’s environment, social and governance footprint lies with their suppliers. Leaders from Procurement who can and will take a bold move can make a decisive difference within sustainability. Today’s companies are paying more attention to the sustainability risk throughout their supply chain with the threat of legal and reputational risks, as well as financial investments at stake.

As Procurement are managing between 50 to 80 procent of the CO2 footprint and orchestrating the ecosystem of partners and suppliers needs to be in the driver seat for sustainability. So therefor, the transition of procurement is to create more sustainable supply chains that meet the needs of the present, without compromising the ability for the future. Beyond ESG reporting it will be necessary for companies to incentivize their suppliers – and their Procurement departments – to make ESG a “hard factor” when it comes to awarding new business.
