Hydro was exposed for a severe ransom attack in March, 2019. More than 1.000 servers and 10.000 pc’s were infected, a large number of them were also encrypted.
The financial impact for Hydro was more than NOK 800 million.
As a result of the attack, Hydro launched a large Cyber Security Program to improve Cyber Security.
